If you saw my 'Year in review' post, you will know that I went to 20 comedy shows in 2022 and saw 33 different comedians.
Here are my top 5 comedy shows of the year!
🌟Rachel Fairburn, Can I Be Awful at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Loved her! So good, I've booked to see Rachel again at The Stand in Newcastle on 21st January and this time I'm taking a crowd! (well 5 of us).

🌟Susie McCabe, Born Believer at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Susie's Edinburgh show last year was hilarious; she's such a talented storyteller. I actually saw Susie perform three times last year as she also popped up in support of Jason Manford at the Glasgow Pavilion in February, and for Russell Kane at The King's Theatre Glasgow in July. She NEVER repeated her material! How amazing is that? To see someone three times and they have something new to say each time? Brilliant. No wonder Susie is in demand!

🌟Russell Kane, The Essex Variant at The King's Theatre, Glasgow.
My fifth time seeing Russell Kane and he never fails to make me howl. So much energy, so much talent. Wired to the moon and even funnier when he's angry (thanks Avanti trains).

🌟Reuben Kaye, The Butch is back at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Hilarious, gorgeous, outrageous, unstable; Reuben Kaye's comedy cabaret show shows off his singing as well as his comedic talents. And just look at that face! A true superstar. I am mesmerised by him.

🌟Billy Kirkwood, Energetic at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
He really is Energetic! And wickedly funny. Billy bounced off the walls and had the crowd in pieces. I was in physical pain from laughing at him (with him?)

🌟Special mention to Joe Lycett's More, More, More which I saw at the Glasgow Armadillo. This show genuinely must've been years in the making. The effort and time Joe Lycett put in to delivering something so clever, touching and delightful! I cheered. Amazing!

🌟And last but no means least, I saw 10 minutes from Sindhu Vee as part of the Pleasance Tartan Ribbon Comedy Gala. She was the standout of the night for me. I've since followed Sindhu on Instagram and can confirm she is indeed hilarious. Her deadpan, sarcastic humour is right up my street and I'll be trying to catch her full set next year.
All brilliant, all highly recommended!
