Here are my Top Ten recommendations:

Wicked London musical

Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre | Tickets from £35!

If you have been obsessed by the blockbuster Wicked film but have never seen the show live on stage, now is your chance. One of the most popular musicals in the West End, the Apollo Victoria Theatre has been home to Wicked now for an astonishing 18 years.

MJ The Musical London

MJ the Musical at the Prince Edward Theatre | Tickets £35!

I saw MJ the Musical at the Prince Edward Theatre for the first time just a few weeks ago. If you're a fan of The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, or of quality jukebox musicals, pop music or superb dance and choreography, then this one's for you. It's unbelievable how many chart topping hits MJ has had. And now that the Broadway musical has won 10 Tony Awards, it seems that the stage show is on it's way to similar success.

The Book of Mormon London

The Book of Mormon at The Prince of Wales Theatre | Tickets from £35!

A warning before we go any further: The Book of Mormon is not for everyone. It's outrageous and to some, offensive. I find it hilarious but please, if you've never seen it, do your research, read the reviews and content warnings and judge for yourself. Think South Park humour. If you want to know anything specific (potentially spoilery) to better understand the content and themes of the Book of Mormon and if it's suitable for you, please find me and message me on Instagram and I'll spill the tea!

Back to the Future London musical

Back to the Future at the Adelphi Theatre | Tickets from £25!

When I bought tickets to Back to the Future for my visit to London in March 2023, I bought them through London Theatre Week. I was sitting next to people in the front circle who had paid much more for their seats than I did *smug mode*. The theming for this show is one of the best I've ever seen and I'd definitely go back... to the Adelphi! This Back to the Future is a musical version of the much loved 1980's film and worth going for the Delorean car alone.

Hamilton London

Hamilton at Victoria Palace Theatre | Tickets from £35!

Lin Manuel-Miranda's masterpiece Hamilton is the record-breaking hip hop musical with a score and book that I firmly believe are works of genius. I've seen Hamilton in London at the Victoria Palace and on tour in Edinburgh. It's astonishingly good. I have paid eye-watering prices for Hamilton tickets in the past and they have been worth every penny, but don't throw away your shot to grab a bargain ticket through London Theatre Week.

Titanique London

Titanique at the Criterion Theatre | Tickets from £30!

Another new musical that has freshly landed in London from New York. This one comes from "Off-Broadway" and it's a madcap Celine Dion jukebox musical that parodies the James Cameron, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio Oscar winning film, Titanic. I saw it for the first time in London a few weeks ago and can highly recommend to those of you looking for a more relaxed, more fun, very camp night at the theatre.

Mean Girls London

Mean Girls at the Savoy Theatre | Save up to 40%, tickets From £25!

I saw Mean Girls in London for the first time two weeks ago. My expectations were greatly surpassed. It's brilliant. So bright, engaging and dare I say, fetch. I was seriously impressed! Based on the Tina Fey film and brought to life by a young cast of incredible talents, Mean Girls at the Savoy is funny, uplifting and makes me very grateful to be done with High School. This one is also pretty safe for the family with an age guidance of 10+. Check the show website for content warnings.

Stranger Things play London

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre | Tickets from £25!

Stranger Things: The First shadow is a prequel to the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. With Hawkins being brought to life on the Phoenix Theatre stage, with characters and references I know and love from the TV series along with jaw-dropping special effects and a thrilling story, this is hands-down the best play I saw in 2024. I gave it 5 stars and I can't wait to go back and see it again. It's outstanding. I do however think this is one for fans of the TV series.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button London musical

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the Ambassadors Theatre | Tickets from £35!

This one gave me serious Come From Away vibes! With a stage full of talented actor-musicians narrating the beautiful tale of Benjamin Button - who is born old and ages backwards - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a beautiful new intimate musical theatre production that is taking the West End by storm. It's the complete opposite to the big glossy productions found elsewhere: it's stripped back, heart warming and really, very good.

The Great Gatsby musical London

The Great Gatsby at London Coliseum

Making its European debut when it opens in London on 11 April 2025, Broadway smash-hit The Great Gatsby is my most anticipated show of 2025. Fresh from winning a Tony Award and numerous other awards for the Broadway production in 2024, The new 'The Great Gatsby' musical is definitely top of my wish list for tickets and the show I will be making a beeline for through the London Theatre Week promotion.
