With his new show ‘As Seen on CCTV’, Matt Price discloses how his encounters with a life coach, and a death threat, changed his perspective on everything..

This is Matt's 10th Edinburgh Fringe show, but unfortunately there were only four people in the audience when I attended. Despite the poor turn out, Matt gave it his all. He's a charming and cheery host, and he made sure that the audience got their money's worth.

Matt's show is only £5! Even if you only want to get out of the rain for an hour, £5 will be money well spent.

If you give him a chance, Matt will welcome you with a friendly manner, and you'll get to hear some interesting stories about death metal bands and the criminal underworld. Not only that, but Matt has some really good gags in his routine. And he does a great Glaswegian accent, which not many English comedians can pull off!

There is nothing revolutionary or extraordinary about his set, but Matt made me laugh. Isn't that what stand-up comedy is meant to do!?

About Matt Price

Matt Price has been a comedian for 20 years and has performed all over the world from Cambodia to Moscow and several times in Australia. He once performed at a one-off comedy night at Broadmoor maximum security hospital which went as badly as you think it might. He has done studio warm up for various programmes and most recently featured on BBC Radio 4 doing standup on Unsafe Space. Matt has opened on tour for Russell Kane, Norman Lovett and Stephen K Amos.

Before all this, Matt had a popular podcast called Conversations with Criminals. Early on he knew that he was out of his depth when a hardened career criminal confessed to him that he once chopped a

man’s head off. Despite this, he persisted. He met some dodgy people in some dodgy places and he took risks, all because he wanted to know why someone chooses a life of crime. All was going well, and he seemed to have a natural rapport with hard men and gangsters or perhaps he was a just a good listener? That is until the day his luck ran out and one man actually threatened to kill him. It was a serious threat and one that stopped Matt in his tracks.
